A national celebration of the big impact small charities have in communities across the UK.

This Small Charity Week (22–29 June), BVSC is proud to be part of a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK.

This year’s campaign, Small charities. Big impact., shines a light on the difference small charities make every day, supporting people, strengthening communities and creating change where it matters most.

Across Birmingham City, small charities play a crucial role in helping to create connection, opportunity and support for those who need it most.

Several small charities provide vital activities and services across our communities - visit our BVSC Directories page for some examples.

Also, a shout out to BVSC partner Birmingham Community Matters who particularly support small charities and voluntary and community organisations across the City.

Small charities are where change really happens. They are rooted in their communities, responding quickly to local needs and providing support that fits real people and real places.

At a time when many communities are facing increasing pressure, their role has never been more important.

A spokesperson for Small Charity Week said:

“Small charities may be small in size, but they are BIG in impact.

They are creating change in communities every day, often quietly and without recognition. Small Charity Week is a moment to celebrate that impact and to stand behind the organisations making it happen.”

Small Charity Week is a moment to recognise and back the work of small charities across the UK.

Because when small charities thrive, communities thrive. And when communities thrive, society is stronger.
