Community Investment Bulletin
The quarterly Community Investment Bulletin highlights and celebrates how organisations, businesses and communities are working together to build a fairer, greener and more connected Birmingham. If you would like to receive the Bulletin, sign up here.

E-bulletin
Our weekly e-bulletin is sent out every Friday morning and is a major source of information - news, events, funding, opportunities, volunteering and jobs. If you would like to receive the e-bulletin, sign up here.

Community Noticeboard
A great way to reach out to the VCFSE sector is to submit a post for our Community Noticeboard. It's often used by businesses to advertise free resources (such as spare/excess office supplies, equipment, stock). Use this form to submit content.

News

If your business would like to share news with the VCFSE sector on our News pages, please use this form to submit this.

Events and training courses
If your company or business is running an event or training course which may be of interest to the VCFSE sector, you can advertise it free of charge (as long as there's no entry fee) on our Events page. If there is an entry fee we can still promote this, but there will be a small fee to do this. Use this form to submit an event.

Small Charity Week - 22-29 June 2026

This Small Charity Week (22–29 June), BVSC is proud to be part of a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK. This year’s campaign, Small charities. Big impact., shines a light on the difference small charities make every day, supporting people, strengthening communities and creating change where it matters most.
Fully funded 3 week Teaching Support Roles programme

PET-Xi Training, in partnership with Applebough Education, is running a fully funded 3 week Teaching Support Roles programme in Coventry and Birmingham. The programme is designed to get motivated, work-ready clients and participants into employment as Teaching Assistants in local schools. It is for those who are unemployed, economically inactive or on Universal Credit.

Hosted by our research team, we put the spotlight on our community researchers and explore their journeys into research. We hope it gives an insight into who can deliver research, who *should* deliver research, and how you and your community can get involved. Episode 1 is out now! Social Value – Business and Third Sector Networking Event

Crisis and Resilience Fund

Help for Birmingham households experiencing financial hardship is being developed as part of Birmingham’s Crisis and Resilience Fund (previously known as Household Support Fund/ Hardship Grant Community Fund) programme.
